One this ninth day of January, in the year of our Lord two thousand and twelve, we congratulate Mr. Larkin on 19 years of excellent service to the Cincinnati Reds. Larkin, a 12-time All Star, 9 silver slugger awards, and 3-time golden glove recipient. This Cincinnati native has a career batting average of .295. He had only 817 strike outs with 7937 at bats.

I grew up watcing Barry play the game. We had a lot of fun down at Riverfront Stadium. Today Mr. Larkin, enjoy the fruits of your labor as you join the greatest men who have played the sport. It's been a great ride.
