MLB.TV FREE GAME: Free Cards Contest TONIGHT!

Tonight is your lucky night! Why one might ask; well MLB.TV free game of the day brings you to St. Louis for another round of fine baseball as the Cardinals welcome the Reds to Busch Stadium.

I have assembled a little contest that requires some input on your part; this might just interest you enough to tune into the game, I mean it's a free game, so I will match MLB.TV's kindness with a little giving of my own.

Here is the contest:

If you are the first to comment when a specified play happens I will send you the prize associated with that play. Keep reading, I'll explain...

When you comment you have to include the inning and then the play to officially win that prize. An example play would be "Zach Cozart turns a double play"  and the comment would be "Top of the 5th, Cozart turns a double play" which might only be worth a free pack of Heritage. Only one prize per occurrence, probably because Cozart can turn a lot of double plays, so once that play has been won, it is off the board. How about another example? Johnny Cueto bunts in a run = Opening Day blaster box; Cueto performs this play in the 3rd inning and you are the first to comment, Top of the 3rd, Cueto sac squeeze would get you a 2012 Topps Opening Day blaster, again, once won  this play is off the board.

Board of Plays will look someting like this:

Example only:

Cueto sac squeeze = 2012 Topps Opening Day Blaster
Cozart turns a double play = 3 packs of 2012 Topps Heritage
Yadier Molina strikes out swinging = 4 packs of 2012 Topps Series One
Lance Berkman Homers = 20 random cards of your favorite team
ETC...
ETC...

Again, some example comments would be...

"Bottom of the 5th, Lance Berkman Homers"

If you are the first to comment a specific play, email me at SPOKEBAIT@YAHOO.COM your mailing address, sit back, and await your prize!

Other rules: The board is no longer valid after the game, so you can't check the box score after the game and claim all prizes. Any other loopholes I don't see right now will get your comment voided, I just don't know what they will be yet Ha!

The comment must be posted before the start of the next inning. Example, you can't post in the 7th about a play in the 2nd, or you cannot comment on a play in the 4th after the 5th inning has begun.

MAXIMUM OF TWO PRIZES PER PERSON- You can be the first to comment on two plays, once you have won twice, you're done, give someone else a chance.

Here are the list of plays that can win you a package or prize. As soon as the play happens, post your comment, if you are the first, you win the associated prize:

    1. I don't get to watch it, I'm in the blackout area. Have no idea why considering I'm over 300 miles from both locations. I'm following the game tracker.

  3. The question is, do you go for the next play or do you hold off for something bigger and better since you are limited to two plays? That's the trick.

    1. There you go; that gets you the 87 Pete Rose card. A maximum of two wins per person. So the trick is do you jump on the next play or do you hold off and wait for something better?
