Gypsy Queen: You traveling hooker

True to it's name 2012 Topps Gypsy Queen has come and gone in less than 24 hours. There hasn't been much to do in the month of April. I buttoned up Series One and topped off my autograph collection. Heritage was short lived as I built what was needed in a week or so. As far as Heritage goes, I had closure off the bat as I pulled that Juan Marichal autograph in my first six retail packs. Since 'real' baseball had started and I usually pull back the reins on card collecting as everyday ball, both watching and playing occupies my days. The baseball team I play/manage has just weekly practices and the league does not kick off until May. The Cincinnati Reds are off to a rough start and I often find myself tuning out the radio more often than not. The fore mentioned circumstances have put me in a position to pick up more Gypsy Queens than I usually care to. To me GQ is A&G's slutty little sister. I mean, they are pretty much equal in unit costs and what not, but A&Gs were my mid summer smash that could take me into fall trying to complete is beautiful and elegant sets. All this to prelude my GQ hits, base cards, parallels, and other what-nots: What isn't shown is on Ebay and ending in a one day sale; just like the nomadic gypsies...here one day, gone the next.

Pulling your favorite player is always a good time, not as good of a time as a one night stand with a gypsy hooker named Chloe. Seriously, I lost my V-card to a gypsy hooker.

This was an awesome set of pulls...My kids favorite player (only becuase she likes to say his name) is Johnny Bench. My mom also has stories about meeint Mr. Bench in the gravel lot of Crosley Field, I'm not sure how to take this, could he be my dad? No, but she has met him in the parking lot a few times..non-sexually. One of the base card Bench is a short print, which is also pretty bitchin'

My only real 'hit' card. A Tim Lincecum blue frame serial numbered to 599....599 why topps why?

And more Gypsy cards for your viewing pleasure......
